Electrical Project Manager

OVERVIEW:
Midwest Electrical Construction Inc. Electrical Project Manager will take on new and challenging opportunities in the electrical industry. You will be given the opportunity to grow your management and leadership skills while working in a team atmosphere.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment
Good working knowledge of 3Ø low and medium voltage power distribution systems
Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work
Travel across the US 25 to 50% of the time
Ability to operate a standard personal computer as well as knowledge of and experience with standard office computer software such as Microsoft Office and construction scheduling software.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical manuals, schematics and reports
Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management, owners, tradesmen and subcontractors while simultaneously managing a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively.
Strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Team player with desire to improve processes and ability to multi-task.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant University Degree or Diploma (Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management) coupled with 5 plus years of industry related experience; or Journeyman Electrician Trade Qualification coupled with 10 plus years of industry related experience.
Must have experience with high voltage power distribution systems
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, Federal, State, and utility rules and regulations.
Must be able to act independently with little or no supervision and work collaboratively on a team environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Remain focused while working in hazardous environments, while wearing appropriate PPE
Physical effort including lifting and carrying of materials, tools, and equipment
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
