Electrical Superintendent

National Traveling Team

OVERVIEW:

​The Electrical Superintendent is accountable and responsible for all aspects of a project from award through completion. This role is responsible for managing resources, ensuring safety programs are implemented, ensuring scheduled timelines and budgets are met, ensuring the work is undertaken in a quality manner and consistent with the contract documents and establishing professional relationships with subcontractor and client representatives.


PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license

  • Lead by example and inspire others to perform to their highest potential, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

  • Knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment

  • Good working knowledge of 3Ø low and medium voltage power distribution systems

  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work

  • Build an awesome team by helping to develop amazing people. Train employees and help them improve their skills. Provide guidance in areas that may need improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical manuals, schematics and reports

  • Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of generators, automatic transfer switches, and surge protection devices

  • General physical fitness is required for some work areas, physical dexterity is required, also the ability to lift heavy objects is required in this position (>50lbs unassisted)

  • Communicate regularly with owners to resolve conflicts and negotiate changes in scope of work. Serve as main contact for all status updates, and material and equipment needs.

  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years of industry related experience;

  • Must have experience with high voltage power distribution systems

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, Federal, State, and utility rules and regulations.

  • Must be able to act independently with little or no supervision and work collaboratively on a team environment.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Duration of job sites can be anywhere from 2 weeks to over one year. Must have reliable transportation. Per Diem and mileage reimbursement will be paid when applicable.

  • Perform hands-on work in all environments (heat, cold, rain), in tight quarters or at heights

  • Remain focused while working in hazardous environments, while wearing appropriate PPE

  • Physical effort including lifting and carrying of materials, tools, and equipment
